Arizona Tamil Sangam (AZTS) is a non-profit, non-religious, and non-political organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the Tamil language and cultural heritage, strengthening community bonds, and creating opportunities for cultural learning and expression across Arizona.

Objectives

• Cultural & Linguistic Preservation

  • Preserve and promote the Tamil language, literature, arts, and traditions through cultural programs and initiatives that sustain Tamil heritage across generations.

• Education – Arizona Tamil School

  • As an integral initiative of AZTS, the Arizona Tamil School is committed to structured Tamil language education with the following goals:

    • Enable children to speak, read, and write Tamil fluently

    • Ensure the continuity of Tamil language and culture for future generations

    • Follow a structured syllabus affiliated with the International Tamil Academy (ITA) to maintain high academic standards

• Cultural Events & Promotion of Local Talent

  • Organize cultural festivals, performances, competitions, and community events that celebrate Tamil culture while providing platforms for local artists, youth, and emerging talent.

• Regional & Global Collaboration

  • Collaborate with regional, national, and international organizations—including the Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America (FeTNA)—to strengthen networks and advance shared cultural and educational goals.
